Our latest find is a tastefully furnished property in the Leitrim Countryside designed with the angler in mind. Not only that your host Steve is an angler himself with local knowledge having visited the area from England to fish for the last 30 years. Steve & Sonia have fulfilled their dream and spent five years preparing their property to share with you along with their love of Leitrim. Just three rooms are available for guests allowing your hosts to provide the best hospitality possible. Ideal accommodation for families who are very welcome.
A variety of breakfast options are available with special diets catered for. An honesty bar is available and those who don't wish to venture out can enjoy a cold beer in the guests living room. Abbey Lodge provides one Twin/Double and a Triple with en-suite facilities, comfortable beds and a hot shower. An additional Twin/Double room has an adjoining bathroom for your use.
The centre of lively Ballinamore and it's pubs, shops and restaurants is just 5km away but Fenagh itself provides for an attractive wee village with two charming pubs and a Visitor Centre. Ballinamore hosts a lively annual family festival the second week of August with fun activities for all the family along with live music most evenings. There are also many attractions of natural and historical interest. Day cruisers are available for hire on the canal and the Kingfisher trail offers 5 routes in and around Ballinamore for beginners, families and seasoned cyclists. A 9 hole golf course set in parklands bordering the Ballyconnell-Ballinamore canal offers panoramic countryside views and welcomes visitors with play at €20 a day.

Anglers Welcome
The icing on the cake for us is Steve himself! He won't say he is an expert angler but with his target of catching 100lb of bream in a session, which he has more than achieved over the years, he is very familiar with all the fishing locations in the area. More importantly he is aware of the needs of the visiting angler, has provided bait & tackle sheds available for your use and will arrange fresh bait for you. As a Guinness devotee Steve is just as happy to share his knowledge over a pint as he is on the bank.
With over 40 lakes within easy reach and the Shannon Erne Waterway close by there is plenty of angling for everyone.
