Originally a market house for where farmers and craftsmen would buy and sell their goods, this stone building has been lovingly converted into four individual apartments by the O'Rourke family. The Market House Apartments are ideally located at the back of the main street and only a few steps from the centre of town.
Each apartment will accommodate four adults in two bedrooms with plenty of storage. The main bedroom features a double and single bed, with the second bedroom offering two singles with a shared bathroom complete with shower. All bed linen and towels are provided. The kitchen is fully equipped with all appliances including a microwave, toaster and dishwasher and is complete with utensils. The open plan kitchen leads onto the dining area with a table for six and comfortable living area with TV. Under the stairs you will find a useful storage area.
The apartments have ample private parking concealed from the main road. A first floor communal laundry area is available for use.
The centre of lively Ballinamore and it's pubs, shops and restaurants is on your doorstep and the Shannon-Erne Waterway just across the road. Ballinamore hosts a lively annual family festival the second week of August with fun activities for all the family along with live music most evenings. There are also many attractions of natural and historical interest. Day cruisers are available for hire on the canal and the Kingfisher trail offers 5 routes in and around Ballinamore for beginners, families and seasoned cyclists. A 9 hole golf course set in parklands bordering the Ballyconnell-Ballinamore canal offers panoramic countryside views and welcomes visitors with play at €20 a day.
For the Angler
A communal laundry room shared by all the apartments is available and there is ample space outside to prepare your equipment.
With over 40 lakes within easy reach and the Shannon Erne Waterway close by there is plenty of angling for everyone. Fenagh Lake is on your doorstep and your hosts would love you to fish it and let them now what you find!
